Meet Our Staff!
 |
Dr. Dennis Harrigan "I graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1984 and moved to Gilroy with my wife, Renee, in 1987. I have two kids: Brian and Kyle, three dogs, and a cat. I'm still trying to figure out which I like better, the animals or the kids. I've had the pleasure of being involved in many community activities, such as the local soccer club, being chef at the Garlic Festival, and I very much enjoy teaching anatomy and art to elementary school children. My interests in veterinary medicine are varied and include dentistry, reptiles, endocrine problems, and surgery. My greatest joy in practice is being able to interact with the pets and their owners. My hobbies are cooking, fly fishing, and playing soccer and volleyball".

Dr.
Greg Martinez I began my love affair with the animal
world at a very early age. I was the kid that had jars of
bugs, frogs, turtles, and unfortunately for my mom, a garter snake
that had babies under our refrigerator. We had a family dog,
cat, loft full of pigeons and a duck named John. At thirteen,
I worked at the House of Pets in my home town of Napa. Seeing sick puppies and kittens and
wanting to help them firmed my resolve to pursue veterinary
medicine as a career. I then worked for 5 years at a
veterinary hospital where the vets mentored and motivated me to
pursue a veterinary career even though I struggled
economically. I started college at UC Davis in 1972 with a major in zoology, which is the study of the adaptations
of the animal kingdom for their particular environment. I
then attended veterinary school at UC Davis and graduated in
1980. |

Kim Instead of a bio,
Kim would like to offer these words of wisdom regarding the
"Rules for Having a Dog": (Warning: do not deviate from these
rules!) The dog is not allowed in the
house...Okay, the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain
rooms...Fine, the dog is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off
the furniture... Okay, the dog can get on the old
furniture only...Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture, but
is not allowed to sleep with the humans in bed... Okay, the dog is allowed on the
bed, but only by invitation... Fine, the dog can sleep on the bed
whenever he wants, but not under the covers...Okay, the dog can
sleep under the covers by invitation only...Fine, the dog can sleep
under the covers every night and the humans must ask permission to
sleep under the covers with the dog... -Author Unknown- |

Lorena Hi, I'm Lorena,
and I'm a veterinary assistant here at GVH. I have a dog
named Chato. I enjoy riding my Harley Sportster. My
favorite part of my job is the satisfaction I get in helping the
animals. |
 |
Michelle My name is Michelle Bundros and
I'm an RVT at Gilroy Veterinary Hospital. I only work part
time as I'm a busy momma for my two wonderful and
energetic children, Lucas (4years), and Marianna
(3yrs). I've always enjoyed caring for animals as I find
it both challenging and rewarding. I came across some of my favorite reasons for working with animals
while an undergraduate at University of Arizona. 1. You can kiss and hug your patients with out
getting sued. 2. You get all sorts of decorative scars on the job. 3. If you can't catch your patient it probably doesn't need your
help.

Teri Hi, I'm
Teri. The people of Gilroy Veterinary Hospital are more like
family than co-workers. We treat all of the animals we see
like we would treat our own pets. It's amazing to see how
many wonderful pets everyone has. My favorites are the
puppies. How could you not love a puppy? At home we
have 2 labs, 3 cats, and 1 frog. The hardest part is not
being able to bring home every animal needing a home. |
